Two paintings by the famous artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir have been recovered, weeks after they were stolen from a museum in Cagnes-sur-Mer. The theft took place last month and captured significant attention due to the value of the artworks, which amount to millions.

According to the town's mayor, the paintings have been returned safely, bringing relief to art lovers and local officials alike. Details about how the authorities managed to recover the paintings have not been disclosed at this time.

The museum, which is an important cultural landmark in the region, had been the scene of a daring heist reminiscent of film plots. Enhancing security measures is now a priority to safeguard against future incidents.
